What the API delivers.
Unified watchlist API
One endpoint can screen configured sanctions, PEP, debarment, and law-enforcement sources. Source scope depends on plan and environment.
Structured risk tiers
Results are classified by source_severity: primary sanctions, PEP, watchlist, or debarment. Apply the right policy to each match type.
Fast, explainable matching
multi-stage candidate retrieval with context-aware identity evidence signals. Every match includes calibrated confidence, per-field contributions, and threshold reasoning.
Global source coverage
Configured sources across major jurisdictions. Source freshness tracked independently per list. Coverage depends on plan and environment.
Reviewable evidence
The served response reports whether evidence is available, pending, or unavailable. Retrieve a capsule only after its evidence state is available.
Continuous monitoring
Add entities to monitoring and configure available notifications for changed screening results.
One call. Every watchlist.

What is the difference between sanctions and watchlist screening?
Sanctions screening checks specifically against government sanctions lists. Watchlist screening can also include PEP, debarment, and law-enforcement sources. The source set served by Verifex depends on plan and environment configuration.
How does Verifex handle false positives?
Verifex uses candidate retrieval and identity-evidence signals to support review. A candidate is not a confirmed identity. Operators should inspect the served candidate, coverage, conflict, and evidence state before applying their own policy.
Can I choose which watchlists to screen against?
Screening sources are configured by plan and environment. Higher-tier plans include broader source coverage. Contact us for custom source configurations.
How quickly are watchlist updates reflected?
Refresh behaviour varies by source and execution state. Use the served coverage, execution, and source-timestamp fields where available. Partial, unavailable, or unknown coverage is not complete coverage.
What makes a watchlist screening API reviewable?
A reviewable API exposes source context, candidates, served decision fields, coverage state, and evidence availability. A candidate is not a confirmed identity, and a result with partial, unavailable, or capped coverage cannot be treated as complete.
